     Coanda 1910 World's First Jet Plane - BluePrint 6000 x 6000 pixels,  300dpi,   RGB color.

Designed by the Roumanian engineer Henry Marie Coanda (1885 - 1972) was presented in October 1910 at The Second International Aeronautical Exhibition – Grand Palais, Paris, France and making its first and only flight December 16, 1910 to Issy-Les-Moulineaux. It caused a great deal of interest and crowds as no one had seen any thing like it before (nor would they for another 30 years!). On the test fly Coanda observed that the flames & burned gases exhausted from the engine tended to remain very close to the fuselage. After studies which lasted more than 20 years, this phenomenon was recognized as  a new aeronautical effect now  new as The Coanda Effect.  The Coanda 1910 was a revolutionary aircraft. It is now being recognized as the first air-reactive engine (jet) aircraft & was the first to have no propeller 30 years before Heinkle, Campini & Whittle who have been considered the 'fathers' of jet flight.
